About Me

Hello and welcome! It's great to meet you. I'm Rebecca L. Fearnley, a fantasy and science fiction author, poet, and dedicated writing coach.

I’m based in the south-east of England, where I spend a lot of time reading, drinking tea, and hanging out with my pets.

I’ve always loved to tell stories and, though you’ll find monsters, magic, and strange worlds in my books, you’ll also find human stories of recovery, friendship, love, and the true meaning of family. It’s so important to me that I create stories and worlds that help my readers to dream, grow, and find their courage. So, my tales are for the brave, the strange, the brilliant, and the bright. I believe everyone shines with their own light, and I hope you’ll learn to love yours through my stories.

But beyond the books, I’m also a passionate educator. I’ve been teaching since I left university, and the thing I love most is to help writers find their voice, discover their power, and realise their writing dreams. I’ve been teaching creative writing since 2014, and have used my own experience of writing and publishing my books to create a person-centred teaching approach that focuses on you, your needs, and your goals for your writing. There’s loads of advice out there, much of it contradictory, and it can be really tough to figure out the good from the bad. My coaching moves away from a one-size-fits-all approach and hones in on your needs, supporting you in developing your own goal, and nurtures you through the process of growing your writing craft.
